Senna's no fool, April or any time

I didn't post this yesterday in case you got suspicious 😉
This is your chance to get the first four Nature's Tribe books at a massive 60% discount.
That's all four, romantic medieval mysteries for only $7.32 / £6.08.

Follow this feisty medieval midwife as she tries to survive in a world where being female, using healing magic, and worshipping the old religion are all frowned upon.

When I rule the world ...

Imagine for one moment you were creating a brand new society from scratch, in a post-apocalyptic/dystopian sort of a way.
Or closer to my reality, in a brand-new-squeaky-clean-world/utopian kinda thing.

That's my challenge for the fourth Nature's Tribe book 13 Esbats of the Moon (available to pre-order for 99c/99p, released May 11th).

I'm after some help. I have the basic structure and the characters (all 13 of them) have chipped in with their concerns and what's important to them, but I'd love to see how that maps out with you guys.
So for the next few weeks, I'll be focussing on different areas of world-building, and I'd love to hear your views about priorities.

Here's a few aspects of life my guys will be concentrating on getting in place - the premise is a brand new world, like Earth in the middle ages before we trashed it with deforestation, over-mining, over-population, all those things killing the planet. How would you prioritise? What fundamentals would you consider equally important? Post your answers below.

Immediate Concerns
1. Sources of clean, fresh water and food
2. Shelter: temporary, communal
3. Fire for warmth/cooking
Near future
4. Planting crops
5. Basic tools (hunting/building)
6. Clothing
Long term
7. Clearing land for buildings
8. Infrastructure: Sanitation/drainage
9. Building materials (sustainable)
10. Safety/protection (weapons?)

Last Chance - never to be repeated offer!

You know - the entire purpose of a headline is to grab attention. And that's actually the truth. Never again will you be able to get these 3 Nature's Tribe books for under $3/£3.
I even made some cute ads to celebrate the fact!

Senna feels like nothing but an inconvenience at her own wedding.
Instead of the small, serene event Senna and Lyran conceived, his father seems determined to take over every aspect, from what she should wear to what and when their guests should eat.
Not much of a choice. But Senna's year of mourning is about to end.
Domenyk needs a woman of substance to accompany him on his ascent to leader of the council.
Jarl spends more time away from the village as an acclaimed military commander - and spy!
Why does everyone keep Cal and Lyrelie apart? Even themselves.
Cal knows eavesdroppers never hear anything to their advantage. He didn’t need to hear Lyrelie’s offhand dismissal to know he is unworthy. But more than one person in the village has reasons for sabotaging their union.
Gotta go - beta comments to read, edits to make. See you soon!

Prequel to a prequel??? Say what?

Because I loved the Hengist series so much, I will take any excuse to stay in that world. However, a number of people have asked about how it came about, so last year, I set about writing a prequel, and met Senna - a spirited midwife, who told her story through 12 Days of Yule. Three chapters into the sequel, 8 Sabbats of the Sun, Lyran tapped me on the shoulder and demanded why I hadn't bothered to give him the mic until right at the end of 12 Days. Just to get him off my back, I wrote a prequel to the prequel: 3 Handfastings and a Burial (yeah, I know!!!).
This will be available very soon, and you can pre-order it now at only 99c/99p.

Here are Icy's Gorgeous covers, and the links.

Because I like to give myself a challenge, I've put the 3rd book on pre-release with a ridiculous deadline of early February. Guess you know what I'll be doing over Christmas!
